Bees Wax Candle

Bees Wax Candle – inspires thoughts.

When I had a chance to buy some beautiful bees wax candles from Beelightful Natural Candles, link, I knew this opportunity would offer more than just candlelight. Without that light what you see in the photo wouldn’t be there. (In truth it might actually be there but you wouldn't see it without the candle being lit. So often in life we 'see' something only through the spark of inspiration shared with us by another.) The candlelight was the catalyst to make the photo and that in turn is a trigger to the imagination. These beautiful natural candles bring more than light to the eyes they spark to life the imagination, the creative within you.

I remember a short story of a man with three sons. He struggled to know which one was to inherit his business but decided to test their ingenuity. He gave them each a sum of money and told them to buy something that would fill the room they were in, the one that filled it best would inherit.

A week later they gathered again to see who would succeed. The first brother bought straw with his money but it only went half way up the wall. The second brother had bought feathers and being much lighter they went more than half way up the wall. Then the third brother took something out of his pocket and placed it upon the table; it didn’t fill the room at all. . .  until he lit the candle. “There, father,” he said, “I have filled the room with light and here is the money I didn’t need to spend.”

You can also use the candlelight to aid meditation then indeed will you see things in a new light !

Back to my photo, the picture in the background is a famous Victorian painting, it symbolises life, light and rescue. As I look at the photo I think of time, time past and time to come, just as the flame burned and is still to burn. When firemen entered a burning building to rescue those trapped, what do you think was their first action? To put out the fire? No, far from it, their first action was to use the light of the fire to see what they needed, then act. On a cold winter’s day at a farm fire they would always keep a little bit burning. . .  to keep themselves warm.

Whatever else you can see or feel from the photo none of it would be possible without that little bees wax candle. Perhaps you can find something much bigger than at first it might seem, perhaps lighting the candle illuminates a corridor down which you can travel to another world of your own making.

Written recovering from Flu. . .  another interesting event in life !

So much symbolism from the light of a small flame... Although small, one light can drive out the darkness. :-)

Hi Mya, thank you. The more I look at that photo the more symbolism I see. So much about life itself, its length, what it finds, fate, time, the Sun, the bees, their own journey of life to death, strength, the strength to hold a life in your hands . . . it just goes on and on. The candle is ethical in its very being, carefully crafted with care, the fireman it illuminates is ethical in his devotion to duty and the saving of life . . . is there no end ? Only when the candle finally burns itself out, only then I suspect. Thank you for viewing the site.

I LOVE the story of the man with three sons, what a brilliant metaphor for life, the first thought is to fill the room with STUFF and use up all the money! Such an interesting photo and article :)

Mmmm, I think you know too much already, but what the hell. . .  retired firefighter, martial artist and self thought philosopher, some say cynic, some say skeptic, some know the truth.  . . . most never will.
